Sonoma Country Air Show
My son Austin is learning to fly a helicopter. We spent a day at the Sonoma County Air Show with other people who are interested in airplanes. What a fabulous gathering of new and old aircraft to view! He, of course, was hosting with other instructors and pilots, the information booth for helicopter rides. The owner Jeremy Makin hopes to launch a flight school, right here at the Sonoma County Charles Schultz Airport. I sat in this little seat of the Robinson 22 helicopter and marveled at how this little thing could fly! Austin was the pilot with another instructor and flew one of these up from Long Beach last week on a delivery flight. What an amazing 6 hr. adventure trip! He said you could actually see people standing in their Malibu beach front estates as the helicopter flew up the coast! Cool!
